Day 1 of construction!

Today was the first day our contractors started work on our basement which is so exciting!! From the time we first looked at our house we knew we would finish half of the basement. Right now we only have our living room and it would be really nice to have the additional living space.

We found Basements Unlimited through Angie's List. We really liked them and after we got over the sticker shock of how much finishing a basement would cost we told them to start right away. We compared their costs with other contractors in the area and found them to be competitive.

When we got home today we saw that the contractors had taken out the ceiling and dropped off the wood for the framing.  A small start but still progress.
