Basement Week 1

Well it's time to show you a week's worth of progress in the basement.  The contractor has water sealed the walls, ripped up the ceiling, and is almost done framing the walls. 

This is where the door to the unfinished part of the basement will be

This is the space where our bathroom will be.  They haven't framed it yet.

This is the cedar closet that came with the house that unfortunately we aren't going to be able to save.  It's just too tall.  We would like to move it to the unfinished part of the basement but there are air ducts on the one part of the ceiling that are too low for the closet to fit under, and the other side of the room is where we have the washer and dryer and other such things that we can't move.  So we're really sad about it but we're going to have to break it apart and get rid of it.  Sad day.
