Mystery Flower

When we moved to The Jerv there was a mess of a garden in the backyard.  At one point it might have been nice but after years of neglect it looked completely overgrown and horrible.

A couple weeks after we moved in, a particular plant started to catch our attention.  It almost looked like the top of a pineapple.  And it kept growing!  We had no idea what it was!!  When we started digging up the garden we decided that we just had to leave it to see what it would turn into.  A couple of weeks after that there were buds on the top of the plant.

 

After waiting a couple more weeks the buds bloomed and we were surprised with Lilies!

Kinda crazy since you can barely see them in the first picture a huh?!
