In the dark

The two main bedrooms in our house had really old ceiling lights when we bought it.  The last time we were at Menards we stopped by the lighting section and found a ceiling fan that we really liked.  So we picked up two of them.  Last week Elliott decided to replace the old and dated lights with the fans. 

Well, it didn't go quite to plan. He took down the old light in our bedroom and instead of a couple wires he found 6 ancient looking wires. Not good. So he stopped right there, capped the wires, and decided we needed to bring in the professionals.

Of course it just had to get even more complicated.  Apparently the wiring for the bedroom and living room ran through this fixture.  So now we don't have any power (except for the couple outlets we had the electrician run) in the bedroom or the living room! Not fun!  I'm hoping this electrician can come back out quick!
